What a great website and idea this is! This year we have enjoyed exchanges at Easter, two long weekends during the summer holidays and half term break in October - all for only £14.95! - thank you so much - we have saved loads of money not having to pay for accomodation and have had such a lovely time wherever we have been. We would highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking of holidaying in the UK - the way we see it is - the more people who join the site, the more choice every member will have. I was delighted to find your site! We have been members of Intervac for many years and completed over twenty home exchanges,but would prefer to see more of the UK. I have just come back from 2 wonderful weeks on a house swap. This is my third swap this year and they have all been perfect. This website has certainly worked for me and, to top it, I have made new friends as well. I would encourage members though to be more interactive to benefit from the site: I made the approaches in all cases; if you are prepared to put in the effort you can make huge savings and have a great time into the bargain! We didn't think we'd be able to afford to take the kids to London this year, but thanks to ukholidayswapshop we have just come back from a city break in London. It was wonderful! When we found this site, we were a bit worried about joining as we have never considered swapping before.. but we have now arranged our first swap to Dorset. We seem to have quite a lot in common with our swapping partners and are confident that all will go well. We are hoping to arrange weekends in London and Bath this summer too. We have just returned from our first house swap, what a great idea, it's like arranging house sitters without the cost and a holiday thrown in. The house was perfect and an ideal base for touring South Dorset. We left their house as we found it and were pleased to find the same on our return. The people at ukholidayswapshop were great - nothing was too much trouble: they helped me to register, uploaded my photos for me and even accepted payment by cheque because I was not happy making payment on line. It was always our intention to use the site and do some swapping ourselves - well, it just wouldn't be fair if you were to have all the fun, would it? Since our launch in 2009, we have had fabulous swaps in Derbyshire and the Norfolk Broads; we have also enjoyed an action packed long-weekend in London being culture vultures! The site is a great idea as, although we belong to an international one, I don't think people from the UK use it for UK breaks much...our ideal is to have one UK holiday and one abroad. Douglas, Fife.
