We have a beautiful and unique, family home in Portslade, Brighton & Hove. Central Brighton is about 10 minutes away by train (parking is ridiculous in Brighton, so we don't even try), and Portslade station is a couple of minutes away on foot. We have a reasonable sized, pretty garden, and lots of living space.
Our house has all modern conveniences, and some nice luxurious touches, such as a huge bathroom with a claw footed bath and a spacious playroom, filled with toys and books. We also have a large open plan kitchen/diner and a snug lounge for relaxing in once the kids have gone to bed.
Our house is well maintained and looked after, but not pristine, as we have two small daughters who love mess-making, and are an active, busy family.
All three bedrooms have a double bed in them, with ours being a kingsize one. In the playroom downstairs, we also have a double wooden fold out futon style bed, which is modern and very comfortable.
Our location is perfect for anyone wanted to see Brighton and Hove, as well as anyone wanting to day-trip into London, which is 50 minutes by train (if you jump on the right train at Portslade, you dont even have to go to Brighton on the way, and will actually get a seat)! We have a parking space in front of our house (off road).
We would love to swap to Suffolk/Essex, as we have family in Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds. Also, we would love to visit Great Granny in Bournemouth, so please do get in touch if you are close to either.
However, we are primarily just looking for short holidays, not too far away where there's lots to do with the kids, so if you fancy a break in Brighton and have a kid friendly home, do contact us.
We're now booked up in August and our oldest starts school in September, so will be subject to school holidays from then.
