We live in a semi-detached house in Bude, Cornwall. It is situated on the edge of the town and is within easy walking distance of beaches, shops, playparks, pubs and the local supermarket. It is also very close to an extraordinary (recently renovated) canal walk.

At the end of our road is a bicycle hire shop and excellent cafe. Behind this is the canal and marshland wildlife reserve populated by geese, herons, kingfishers and more. It is linked to the Camel trail cycle path which is ideal for both walkers and cyclists alike. Next to here is the rugby club, and leading on from this is the town play park, which has play areas for both older children and toddlers, with a soft rubber type floor.

Walking up the hill from our house leads you to a large Morrisons and a huge indoor soft play with bowling (Harlequinns). Great for rainy days. This is also the location of the local swimming pool which has a flume and wave machine. It would take approx 5 -10 minutes to walk here or is a short 2 minute drive!

Bude is a popular family holiday destination and the town centre is 5 minutes walk from our house. It has lots of pasty shops, cafes and gift shops. Bude is located on the rugged and picturesque north Cornish coast and boasts some of the best surfing in the country.

If you fancy a trip to the beach (who wouldn't!) Summerleaze is our closest. Situated in the main town area, it is large with soft pale sand. It has a great bistro and large car park. There is also the famous sea pool which is a man made pool built to enable swimmers to swim without the worry of strong currents. This beach is patrolled by life guards from Easter through till the end of summer. It is also the location of the harbour, with small fishing boats coming and going.

Hopefully you will experience good weather, but whatever happens you'll have a great time. There really is TOO much to mention. There are loads of beaches within easy walking distance, rowing boat hire, play areas -SO MUCH!

Our house is set off a quiet road with a front and back garden. The road is quite safe and there are lots of kids on our street. The back garden is accessed around the side of the house, and can be secured with a gate to keep the little ones in. We have a little wooden play house, and garden toys such as slides and a see-saw. Most of the garden is lawn, but there is a flat area with chimnea which is great for barbeques. As it is south facing you really can enjoy a nice evening.

Our house itself has nice proportions for a 3 bed.

Kitchen

The kitchen is large with room for the dining table, which seats four but is extendible to seat up to 8 people. It overlooks the back garden and as it is south facing it is often sunny. There is a door to the back garden. We have an electric oven with ceramic hob, a dishwasher, a large capacity washing machine ,radio CD player and large fridge freezer.

Lounge

Our lounge is dual aspect with an open fire. Lovely for the cold nights! There's a sofa and chair with recliners. Our TV is a 42 inch HD LED on extendable arm. We have freeview+HD and blue ray with surround sound.

Upstairs Bedroom One

The master bedroom is very large and again dual aspect. It has a superkingsize bed, with memory foam mattress and egyptian cotton sheets. The duvet is 100% down (so if you have allergies please let us know!). There is a wall mounted 42 inch SD TV with DVD, HDD player as well as connections for a laptop (although streaming is slow upstairs).

Bedrooms 2 and 3

The two boys' rooms are brightly coloured and stuffed with toys! There's a table in the larger room for drawing and tonnes of lego. Their beds are extendible, and the larger room will comfortably take another mattress on the floor (can be supplied). We also have a cot which can be made made available.

Bathroom

The bathroom has a white suite with shower over. The boiler is a combi so there's plenty of hot water available.

We hope you like the sound of our house, we love it, but it is the location which is really special and just great for children and activity loving adults. We'd love to welcome you here.
