Our friendly home is a Victorian terraced three bedroom house with original features throughout such as wooden floors, fireplaces, cornicing and ceiling roses. There is one large master bedroom with a super king sized bed for a couple. The second bedroom is where my sons sleep. There are two single beds and lots of toys and books for children to enjoy and a fish tank. The third bedroom has a bed which can be used as a single or as a twin. It is a peaceful and good sized room. We have a bathroom with a seperate toilet. In the kitchen there is a space to cook and a dining table with chairs and french doors that open onto our secluded garden where you can enjoy the summer evenings. The living room is very large with a quiet area for the adults or for watching television, and an area for the children's toy table. We have easy on street parking outside with permits available for you to use. Locally, a few minutes walk from us, there is a pleasant park with an open space, a lake and a play ground, tennis and basket ball courts and a cafe and also a good library with children's facilities and film showings. The quaggy river runs through this park. A twenty minute walk away is the famous Greenwich Park with an arboretum, views of London, a rose garden and more playgrounds. You walk through Blackheath Village to get the park, where there are shops and restaurants and cafes. Greenwich itself, on the other side of the park, has weekend markets and plenty of famous museums, the royal navy college and the royal observatory. We have a couple of good pubs within a few minutes walk from us too. Hither Green train station is five minutes walk away. It is one stop from Lewisham where the DLR takes you to East London and the Olympic sites. Trains also run regularly into the centre of London, stopping at London Bridge (15mins) Waterloo (18 minutes) and Charing Cross (22 minutes) From these three stations you can get anywhere in London via the underground system.
Our home has a welcoming friendly feel to it, with a lot of character being a Vitcorian property. The rooms are large and spacious. It would suit a family who want quick and easy access into London but who don't want to stay in the noisy hectic centre. There is plenty to do locally, especially with Greenwich so close. A couple may also like to use our home for a city break.
