We live 5 minutes walk from the seafront, shops, restaurants and various museums (See www.visitportsmouth.co.uk). There is a huge amount to do within walking distance, and also further afield eg. Isle of Wight (hovercraft terminal 5 mins away), Salisbury, Chichester, Winchester, South Downs,the New Forest,London (about 1+1/2hrs by train). We have a lively seafront with great walks in both directions, and in the summer there are many events and festivals on Southsea Common. Our home is not suitable for small children and we have a cat. We are open to offers from anywhere in the UK, and have had 25 successful home swaps in the past (through Intervac and UK Holiday Swap Shop). There are 4 of us; Mike (a teacher), Ruth (a nurse), Matt (23) and Ali (20). We are only available to exchange in school holidays. We are open for offers during school holidays in 2012.

About our house:-

Although we live in Southsea (the seaside part of Portsmouth),it is surprisingly quiet here. We live in a comfortable semi-detached house with friendly neighbours who will help out if need be. We have a small garden which catches the sun,with garden seats and spare garden chairs. We have all the 'normal' appliances,including wi-fi internet connection. (We would bring our laptop on an exchange and would be grateful if our exchangers could bring theirs). Parking is on road with a permit (which we will provide for you at our expense).
