We live in a 3 bedroomed semi detached house (the one with the porch in the photo) in Bishopbriggs, a quiet East Dunbartonshire village close to Glasgow. Transport links to the city are excellent. We are, however, very close to the country side and can see the Campsies from our house. The Trossachs are a short drive away. There are several beautiful country parks and Loch Katrine and Inchnaholme island are about 45mins drive away. These are both great daytrips for small children as well. Luss on Loch Lomond, and Culross, a medieval village, are accessible easily as well. Near our home there is a canal walk with a cycle path that leads to a country pub. The West end of Glasgow with its trendy pubs, cafes and the Kelvingrove museum are about 25 mins away by car. Edinburgh is about 1hr away by train/car and Stirling is about 40mins distance.
Our house has a front and small back garden. We have a deck in the back garden and our garden is enclosed, so very child friendly. We have lots of toys and baby equipment and plenty of dvds plus a playstation and a wii. We have bicycles.
We have a large double room. A big single room with bunkbeds and a small nursery with a cot. We also have a big bed sized inflatable matress and a pull out foam matress.
We've done a house swap with a French family and have done a long weekend swap with a family on this site. Both swaps worked really well. We're teachers and keen to do UK swaps for short stays and for longer periods during holidays.
