.We are in a central location a couple of miles from the thrill seekers mecca of Alton Towers theme park and in easy reach via the A50 to Derby city, burton-on-Trent, Stoke-on-trent. The beautiful Peak District gateway market towns of Leek and Ashbourne are just 40 mins away. Uttoxeter is a small market town full of pubs, shops and home to the Uttoxeter racecourse, which is just around the corner from our home .
Field Cottage is an end of terrace that overlooks the Dove river flood plain, but turn left out of the front door and you'll be walking into the town, so we have the best of both worlds. It is 2 double bedroomed, both en-suite older cottage complete with sitting room with woodburner and front room with victorian style slate gas open fire. We have a good sized and well equiped kitchen overlooking the fields and garden and a useful downstairs cloakroom. It is a quirky little place and shaped in a triangle, so you won't find any right angles in this place anywhere, but walk out of the door and you be across the fields and not to far from a gastro pub, it's just perfect!
