We are located in Sea Mills, which is a pleasant suburb in the North West of Bristol, a 10 minute drive from the M5 (junc 18) and a 20 minute car drive from the centre of Bristol (or we are on a direct bus route). We are fortunate to be surrounded by greenery and open spaces, hence ideal for dog-owners and lovers of easy-access nature! Lots of woods for children to play in. Sea Mills is well-appointed with local shops, a library, community centre and churches. Our house is a 1930s terraced, ex-council house with a generous dog/child-friendly garden. It has 3 bedrooms - one cosy double, one single (with a futon bed under the loftbed) and one double (which is shared by our 2 daughters who have a loftbed each) - and of course, a bathroom (small, but adequate). Downstairs offers a fairly spacious lounge, a small 'work room' which houses piano, computer, Wii, filing space, etc, and a newly-built extension which comprises a 'snug' sitting-room (media-free), utility room, downstairs toilet and a dining area which is open-plan into the newly-renovated kitchen. We love the situation of our home, especially the fact that we are surrounded by so much green space yet can easily reach town, which has many attractions and places of interest, or drive out of Bristol into the surrounding countryside - Somerset, Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, Devon....
