We have a large detached house (containing a self-contained granny annexe with a grandma & a granddad) in a small village - Weston Colville, close to Babraham - 12 miles from Cambridge (20 minutes) and 6 miles from Newmarket, Suffolk. Half acre garden and half acre wood, bordered by fields on one side and backs of gardens on the others. There are lots of walks around the village. Thetford Forest with Go-Ape 40 minutes away. Cambridge has lots of historic interest and the River Cam for boating. East Anglia has lots of lovely beaches within 1 hour of our house and the Norfolk Broads are reasonably close also. Please look at www.visitcambridge.org to see what there is to do near us.

Our house has a lounge with open fire, tv & stereo system with cds; dining room with a fish tank containing 3 goldfish; large kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher leading through French doors onto the patio which has a garden table & chairs; tv room with lots of dvds and sky tv; study area with computer; downstairs loo & utility area with washing machine & tumble dryer. Upstairs are 5 bedrooms (4 doubles & 1 twin) and 2 bathrooms. We have a garage and lots of parking on the drive. The large garden, with lots of trees, has swings and a climbing frame with a slide and also has a pond with 2 fish. In a large run in the garden we have 2 rabbits and 2 guinea pigs (grandma & granddad or a neighbour can look after them if you don’t want to). Just across the quiet road and down a bit is a cricket meadow with children’s playground. Opposite the cricket meadow is the small village shop and post office, which is open in the mornings. A short walk up the road or across the fields to the next village is a friendly pub that also serves meals.
