We live in Lerwick, the main town on the Island of Shetland which is at the far north of Scotland. Our house has 3 bedrooms, one double, two single and also a very small loft conversion, access to this is by a loft ladder. We have a small back garden with drying green which is very nice to enjoy the sun in during the summer. There is a small kitchen with dining table and a separate utility area. The living room is adjoining the kitchen and is a fairly comfortable size. There is a downstair toilet and also a bathroom upstairs. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with shower in the bath.
Lerwick is a popular tourist town. The town centre can be accessed by a 5 minute drive from the house or there is a bus stop just a short distance down the hill, the bus takes you right into the town centre. There are lots of local tourist attractions and many more within driving distance of the town. There is also a lovely sports centre with swimming pool just 5 mins drive away from our house. There is a beach just minutes from the house which can either be accessed by walking over a coastal route or by car. Shetland is a beautiful place to come in the summer months. You can enjoy the town life or within short driving distance a more rural scene - there is so much to discover! Unfortunately the photos of the house I have taken are in winter but summer views are also lovely.
