A four bedroomed detatched bungalow situated in a delightful village in Cambridgshire called HOUGHTON, which is situated by the river Great Ouse. The Bungalow accommodation itself is very spacious with large garden backing on to the village playing field. It has parking on its own drive for two cars. The bungalow can sleep 10 but sleeps 8 comfortably, 3 double beds, 2 singles and one sofa bed in lounge. Whilst not the most modern it is comfortable, very spacious and equipped with everything you would need to be at home. Fully fitted kitchen with microwave, washing machine, tumble drier, broadband internet access, printer, laminator, dvd player, cd player. Fitted bathroom and seperate toilet. Large flat screen tv & dvd player. There is broadband but you will need a laptop. The bunglaow is on one level, I have put disabled friendly, however there is one step up to the bunglaow and three slight steps out to the back garden.
Garden with gazebo and seating/dining area, sandpit, garden toys, slide, trampoline. Gate leading to extensive playing field. In summer occasional cricket matches, lovely to sit out with glass of wine, picnic and watch.
We are currently updating the house and some areas are dated but the location far outweighs this. The Bungalow is child friendly, lots of toys in a toy room, one very pink girly room and includes a drum kit and keyboard! All the rooms are double rooms and very spacious, clean and tidy. All other rooms are double size one with king size bed. Television in one bedroom with dvd player.
8 miles from Cambridge and 15 from Peterborough its nearest towns are ST IVES and HUNTINGDON both with shops cafes and local history. Situated within easy reach of the A14 and the A1. Great area for cycling and walking. Centrally situated ideal for a base to discover central England.
A car is desirable but not essential as there is a bus service which runs through the village.
It is a great base to see the Cambridge/Suffolk/Norfolk areas. Within a hour drive/ train from London.
