The picturesque market town of Ulverston, nestling between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay, is a perfect base for exploring this ever popular holiday region. Windermere and Coniston Water are less than half an hour away by car, and Wastwater is barely an hour away. Ulverston itself has all the amenities required, including three supermarkets, ten cafes, numerous restaurants, many traditional pubs, a twice-weekly market, independent shops and even a charming old-fashioned cinema, all a few minutes’ walk from the house. Not far away are a zoo, many National Trust properties (including Beatrix Potter’s house) and of course all the opportunities for outdoor activities for which this region is famous.
The house itself is a historic mid-Victorian town-house with a small patio garden. Accommodation is over three floors including five bedrooms and two reception rooms. It has full central heating, and also an open fire in the main reception room.
