We live on a lovely quiet street only 5 minute walk along the river into the centre of York. The river path both has lovely walks and is also a great cycle path - cycle route 65. We are 5 minutes walk to York minster and 10 minute walk to the train station. Easy direct train access to London & Edinburgh. 2 local pubs within 2 minutes walk (one pub is also dog friendly) & many more places to eat and drink in the centre of York all within walking distance.
Our home is a beautiful 1930's 4 bedroom house with - Cosy lounge with open log fire. Modern open plan kitchen dining room and second lounge space with patio doors that open to small tidy garden with hammock between 2 trees, space to bbq and children's play house. 2 double bedrooms, great child space attic bedroom and 4th bedroom is currently an office space. We have wireless internet connection. Oh & 1 friendly cat. York is 20 minutes drive away and the Yorkshire Moors, Dales and Coast are easily reached. Harrogate and Leeds are about 30 minutes away and give you plenty of opportunity to shop.This is a great location for a holiday base from which you can explore the north of England
