We live in the lovely market town of Totnes in Devon, Seagull Cottage is a 3 story end terraced grade 2 listed cottage built around 1820 with views of the River Dart and Vire Island, being a short level walk to the town where you will find interesting shops and eating places. The cottage is situated close to the Steam Packet Inn (with accomodation) and superb walks to Sharpham Estate and the pretty village of Ashprington adjacent to the property.
The cottage is nicely decorated and furnished with a nautical influence , the layout consists of ground floor twin bedroom with multi fuel burner, flat screen tv , hallway with concealed washing machine, and bathroom/wc (antique bath with shower above ) underfloor heating, First floor living/dining room with table and chairs to seat 4, woodburner and flat screen tv dvd/cd player, small kitchen with an Everhot range oven, microwave ,dishwasher,freezer a small roof terrace from the kitchen with table and chairs for two and patio heater, On the 2nd floor is a double bedroom with flat screen tv, and is 'open' to the living/dining room below. Please note No dogs on beds or furnitue.
There is much to see and do, there are pleasure boat trips to Dartmouth (easter to end of September} and river taxis should you wish to visit the pretty villages on the Dart with their superb riverside inns,(If you have kayaks you can easily carry to the river from the cottage),we are also situated next to Baltic Wharf, please see their website for any enqueries for boat moorings/storage, If you fancy seeing our two cities Exeter and Plymouth, Totnes has a main line station ( Paddington to Penzance)
We have a well behaved dog who respects our home and will respect yours too, unfortunately we can only accept one dog of small/medium size due to the size of the property and lack of gardens, but we do have a small reception courtyard and of course the little roof terrace , Sorry no toddlers/small children due to wooden stairs and hard floors in the property, Nearest beach is 5 miles away. Country /riverwalks (traffic free) very close to property.
