Situated in the pretty market town of Beverley, our 5 bedroom house sleeps 8, with 3 bathrooms, dining room, living room, enclosed garden, and off-road parking. It is very comfortable and next to the Beverley Westwood - a large area of common land great for the kids to explore and for a good walk - and close to town which has various interesting shops as well as all the necessary eg M&S Food.

The new Beverley Leisure complex is within walking distance and offers swimming, gym and hall sports. The Westwood also home to the Beverley Golf Club and as far as we understand visitors are welcome to play by arrangement. There is a weekly Saturday market with everything from fruit and veg to a dedicated thomas the tank engine stall to a hat stall. Superb resturants reside in Beverley, with Italian, Seafood, Chinese, Thai, Indian, and Turkish amongst others. Beverley is the home of Beverley racecourse which is holding a family fun day on 27 July 2010.

The city of Hull is 30 minutes away or about 15 minutes by train, and has various sea-themed museums, 'the Deep' the worlds only submarium, and monkey buziness for the kids. York is about 1 hrs away with superb shopping, the Yorvik Viking Museum, and the excellent National Railway Museum. Hornsea is about 40 minutes away with family friendly beaches, Honeysuckle Farm and the Hornsea Freeport outlet village. The Yorkshire Wolds way is closeby for keen walkers.

Further afield are Dalby Forest with walking, mountain biking, together with 'go ape' an overtree experience, Pickering with the North York Moors Steam Railway, Malton with Flamingo Land (theme park and zoo), and Eden Camp Museum (which specialises in the second world war).

Other events on nearby include Shakespeare in the park 'The Merchant of Venice' on Sun 25 July and the Wolds game and country fair on 31-1 Aug, both at Sledmere House in Driffield about 30 minutes away. The artsmix contemporary art market is at Castle Howard near York on Sunday 25 July.

One of the single rooms has a bunk bed which can sleep another child, making possible to sleep a total of 9 people. Thanks for looking.
