Feel like getting away from the stress of London for a week? Plymouth offers a comprehensive coastal town experience with all the home comforts you're used to, but also serves as an excellent base for enriching day trips to beautiful villages, beaches, and an expansive moorland with sweeping vistas over one of the UK's most stunning national parks; all within a 30-45 minute drive. No visit to Plymouth would be complete of course without visiting the Barbican, an historic Tudor harbour where you can enjoy authentic British fish and chips or a more sophisticated cuisien. Despite the summer we've been having, we all know British weather and there's plenty to do indoors in Plymouth, too. If you're here to explore the coast then I'm sure you'll also be interested to know that Plymouth's National Marine Aquarium is the largest in Britain and even hosts the deepest single tank in Europe. Among other attractions are the Royal Theatre, as well as both large mainstream and a handful of independent cinemas, Crownhill Fort; built to defend the city from French invaders in 1872, and the 3 storey Drake's Circus shopping centre which was finished last year.

Our house is a laid-back Victorian end terrace in the leafy residential area of Stoke, a five minute drive from the station and the town centre, and sits at the mouth of a cul de sac, so there's plenty of on-street parking. The house is ideal for families to relax in at the end of a day out, with large bay windows in the living room. It also features a large kitchen/dining room, and three large bedrooms, containing a total of 2 double beds, a high-rise single with fold out double bed beneith and a smaller single bed ideal for children under 5. The house also includes a separate toilet room and bathroom, and a conservatory that looks out onto a very modest courtyard. We hope that you agree that a visit to Plymouth will be an interesting as well as relaxing holiday for you and your family.

I am a teacher and my partner is ex-army. We have four children; a 3 year-old girl and 6, 14 and 17 year-old boys, so there are lots of toys and games in the house (including a Wii). We are looking for a house in London for a week or so to do a spot of shopping and sightseeing. North London would be preferable as I am familiar with this area, but we are very much open to offers.

We have put up a link to some photos of our hour as the ones that we put on this site wern't great. The house is a real family home not a show house and there are a few DIY jobs that need doing, so if you are that way inclined - help yourself!!
