1690 house is a gorgeous detached 4 bedroom grade 2 listed Georgian stone home. The accommodation is very flexible, 2 double bedrooms with kingsize beds, a further double bedroom with en-suite facilities that is currently set up with two cotbeds and a single bedroom. Should further beds be required we do have a one bedroom barn in the grounds that is currently used as the office but could accommodate another couple. There are two south facing rear gardens, the lower opens up from the kitchen and playroom and is fenced with a gate and is ideal for toddlers. The large rear garden has a lawn with decking area under a large plum tree, table tennis, wendy house and tree swing.
1690 House retains all it's Georgian character, including working fireplaces, inglenooks, parquet flooring, beamed ceilings, cast iron roll top bath, but with all the modern conveniences of Sky Multiroom TV, wireless broadband, Weber barbecue, table tennis and patio heater. Entrance is off road via double wooden gates into a sweeping driveway for secure off road parking for up to 3 cars .
Breakfast kitchen Diner, includes AGA, Smeg fridge freezer, 10 seating table, 2 highchairs, Travertine stone quarry flooring, french doors into lower patio bbq area of garden. Lounge Sitting room with Sky TV, large inglenook fireplace and wireless broadband. The large play room has french doors into the lower garden and ample toys to entertain all ages plus another Sky Multiroom TV with Playstation and Wii games.
Set in the heart of the English countryside within the pretty village of Lavendon. The town has an ancient church, two pubs, one small shop for essentials. 10 miles from Milton Keynes, 10 miles form Bedford and 10 miles from Northampton. MK has an indoor snowdome, theatre and large shopping centre. Close to the old town of Stony Stratford, and to Bletchley, home of the code breakers at Bletchley Park. Within day trip distance of London (40 min by train). 40 min from Luton Airport. Equal distance 1 hour from Oxford and Cambridge.
My husband and I have two girls aged 7 and 5, and 6 month old twins, therefore families with young children will find the property very child friendly, with double the amount of baby friendly equipment (i.e. highchairs, double buggy and cotbeds) as you would imagine with twins. There is also plenty of toys inside and outside for your older children's entertainment, including bikes, a two storey playhouse, a tree swing and a sand pit. We are hoping for a similar family who wishes to exchange within school holidays.
